Washing & a short day from Hontanas to Castrojeriz. October 2

I decided to take an easy 10k day today. I spent some extra time planning the next few days this morning and started walking around 10 instead of 7.

Here's a nice random ruin from today... It looks like it used to be a substantial building. ,-

In a little slice of life on the Camino, one wonderful difference between this and backpacking is that every day I can take a hot shower, have a cold beer, and wash clothes. I chose to hand wash my socks and tshirt every day but there are often machines available too.

The clothes washing area -
Crocuses blooming on the Camino today -

An abandoned Covent -
Populated by lots of cats -
A shepherd and his dogs working the flock. I could hear him shouting directions -

The room in Castrojediz -
The view from the castle ruin on the hill -
With Camino friends I see almost every day -
An ominous image on the old city wall -
Sheet music on display at the local cathedral -
Dinner at the albergue-
Today's walk.  It actually started in Hontanas and I again I forgot to start the tracking until an hour or so in  -
