Lovely León, nice nuns, and beautiful buildings. Mansilla de las Mulas to León. October 8

I had a nice, early, relatively short walk into Leon today.  Leon is a big city and the outskirts are fairly industrial but I found it really interesting.
I passed a few farm equipment and auto dealers.
Lots of chestnut trees -
And chestnuts -
I found a nice albergue run by volunteers and nuns (in black and white habits) -
The bunks -
Leon is a really nice old city with a spectacular 14th century gothic cathedral.  I will stay here an extra day.  They are also having a medieval fair like Burgos, with lots of craft and food vendors.

Antiques -Old books -
The Cathedral -
A central square with fountain -
