Pamplona! No bulls running today.

Today's walk was supposed to be easy (~9 miles) and it was easier than the previous days. However, in my effort to follow the guidebook 's "scenic route" suggestion, I managed to add another couple of miles getting lost before I gave up and returned to the main path. Previous to this trip, I had only known Pamplona because of the running of the bulls and Ernest Hemingway. The old city is really nice.

  1. Thanks for all the photos and info, Bill. We're enjoying watching your progress!
We also stayed at Roncesvalles monastery. I don't think the wifi was working when we were there either. But it didn't matter, because Spain was playing France (I think) in the World Cup and everyone in the place was watching the one TV :-)
